Blue and Gold fall to No. 3 Hamilton

The women’s lacrosse team saw its recent five-game winning streak come to an end at Hamilton College today. The No. 3 ranked team in the nation won 15–3 in a statistically lopsided contest.

The Bombers had twice as many turnovers as the Continentals and registered only 16 shots to the Continentals 39.

Sophomore attack Nicole Borisenok, senior midfielder Lauren Fitzgerald and classmate Kylie McClure scored for the Bombers, who went without a goal the entire second half.

Sophomore Siobhan Sullivan led the defense with two caused turnovers and three ground balls. Junior midfielder Ali DeCirce picked up three ground balls in the losing effort.

Freshman Jess Worthman played 44 minutes in goal and registered a career-high 12 saves.

The South Hill squad returns to Carp Wood Field on Friday to host Alfred University of the Empire 8. A win would guarantee Ithaca a spot in the conference playoffs in the beginning of May.
