Men’s Crew: Third varsity boat prevails on Lake Onota

The men’s crew finished its regular season yesterday on Lake Onota in Pittsfield, Massachusetts against Williams College and the Coast Guard Academy.

The Blue and Gold took the third varsity boat race by just under nine seconds with a time of 7:02.2. All eight rowers on the Bombers’ third varsity boat were freshmen.

The South Hill squad placed second to Williams in both the first and second varsity boat races. The first varsity boat finished more than four seconds behind at 6:13.9 and the second varsity boat more than 15 seconds off the winning pace at 6:43.4.

The Bombers will compete at the New York State Championships next weekend at Whitney Point, N.Y.
