Men’s Cross-Country: Blue and Gold finish 10th at NCAA Regionals to end season

The men’s cross country team wrapped up its 2011 season today when they finished tied for 10th with SUNY-Fredonia out of 40 teams at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships hosted at St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y.

The Bombers finished the meet with 357 points, 268 points more than first-place St. Lawrence. SUNY-Geneseo senior Lee Berube finished first overall with a time of 24:41.3.

Junior Nathan Bickell was the Bombers’ top individual performer, finishing 37th out of 272 runners with a time of 26:24.5. Junior David Geary finished 53rd in 26:40.4 and senior captain Dan Craighead finished 62nd in 26:47.9.

Rounding out the Bombers’ top seven, junior Mark Vorensky finished 86th in 27:05, junior Billy Savage finished 119th in 27:38.5, senior Tyler Murray finished 137th in 27:57.6 and junior Chris Lotsbom finished 167th in 28:30.
