Men’s Cross Country: Bombers finish 20th at Lehigh

The men’s cross country team finished 20th out of 46 teams at the Paul Short Run yesterday, hosted by Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. In a field that included 17 Division I teams and 382 runners, Iona College finished first and Colgate University junior Christopher Johnson was the top individual runner with a time of 25: 19.

Junior Nathan Bickell was the Bombers’ top individual finisher, coming in 24th with a time of 26:12, better than 358 other runners. Senior captain Daniel Craighead finished 48th with a time of 26:32 and junior Mark Vorensky finished 134th in 27:18.

Rounding out the South Hill Squad’s top seven, junior David Geary finished 136th in 27:18, senior Jacob Brower finished 215th in 28:05, freshman Dennis Ryan finished 224th in 28:09 and junior Billy Savage finished 296th in 29:43.

The Bombers return to action at 11 a.m. next week when they compete at the Hamilton Invitational in Clinton, N.Y.
