Men’s Cross Country: Bombers finish sixth at SUNY-Cortland

The men’s cross country team finished last of six teams at SUNY-Cortland’s Jack Daniels Invitational today. Sophomore Sam Horwath registered the Bombers’ top time, finishing 37th out of 96 runners in the six-kilometer race with a time of 21:06.00. Cortland finished first in the team standings, and Clarkson University senior Alex Benway finished first in the individual standings with a time of 19:12.00.

Junior Joseph Lu had the second best time for the Blue and Gold, finishing 38th in 21:12.80. Junior Chris Lotsbom finished 39th in 21:12.90.

Rounding out the South Hill squad’s top seven, freshman Anthony Altobelli finished 55th in 21:43.80, senior Tyler Murray finished 73rd in 22:24.40, freshman Mason Mann finished 78th in 23:01.60 and sophomore Peter Arseneault finished 93rd in 25:38.80.

The Bombers’ next scheduled meet is the Paul Short Run at 12:15 p.m. Friday at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.
