Men’s Indoor Track: Blue and Gold finish sixth at Cornell Upstate Challenge

The men’s indoor track team competed at the Cornell Upstate Challenge yesterday, finishing last in a six-team field that included Cornell University, SUNY-Buffalo, SUNY-Binghamton, Syracuse University and SUNY-Cortland.

The Bombers finished with 24 points — 11 behind fifth-place Binghamton. Cornell took first place with an inflated total of 246 points after 18 events.

Senior Doug Koury finished in the top five in two events, placing third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.93 seconds. He finished just 0.37 seconds behind sophomore Jake Willis in the 200-meter dash to take fifth place.

Freshman Mason Man finished seventh out of 18 competitors in the 800-meter run, completing the event in 2:01.86.

The Blue and Gold will host the Empire 8 Conference Indoor Championships beginning at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Glazer Arena.
