Weekend Preview: Winter sports are coming to a close

With the winter season coming to a close, here’s what’s coming up this weekend for Bomber sports.

The men’s and women’s track and field teams compete at two away meets on Feb. 18. Members of both teams will compete in the Utica College Pioneer Invitational at Utica College and the Marc Denault Invitational at Cornell University. Both meets begin at 10 a.m.

The men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will compete in the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Championship at 10 a.m. Feb. 17 and 18 in the Athletics and Events Center. The meet began on Feb. 15. The women’s team looks to complete an undefeated season at this meet.

The men’s tennis team will return to action for the first time since Oct. 2 to face off against the University of Rochester at 11 a.m. Feb. 19 in Rochester, New York.

The gymnastics team is seeking its first win of the season Feb. 19 in Springfield, Massachusetts, against Springfield College. The South Hill squad is looking to bounce back from a loss to SUNY Cortland earlier this week.
