The women’s soccer team played 120 minutes today against Nazareth College in Rochester, N.Y., leaving Golden Flyers Stadium without a goal in a scoreless tie. It was the Bombers’ final Empire 8 Conference matchup of the season.

The Blue and Gold came out controlling the tempo early and pushed the paced for much of the game, outshooting Nazareth College 19-11. It was the first game of the season that the team was shut out.

Junior forward Rachael Palladino led the South Hill squad with four shots on goal. Junior goalkeeper Becca Salant recorded six saves to ultimately preserve the tie.

The team is now 9–2–3 on the season and 5–1–1 in the Empire 8 Conference. The Bombers will play SUNY-Oneonta at 4 p.m. Wednesday to cap off their three game road trip.
