Women’s Tennis: Blue and Gold compete in Mary Hosking Invitational

The women’s tennis team competed in the Mary Hosking Invitational at William Smith College this weekend.

Freshman Cary Siegal advanced to the quarterfinals in the B flight singles bracket with an 8-1 win in the first round Saturday.

The Bombers advanced to the C flight singles bracket, as seniors Kelsey Harness and Becky Campbell were first round winners. Junior Megan Hedrich won a first round match in the D flight, but was knocked out in the quarterfinals.

At Day 2 of the Mary Hosking Invitational on Sunday the doubles teams of junior Lauren Salladay and freshman Allison Vizgaitis, and junior Megan Hedrich and Harness advanced through the semifinals of the consolation bracket in the B flight doubles. The two teams will compete in the championship match during Monday’s practice at the Ithaca College Tennis Courts.

The Blue and Gold will face Hartwick College at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Wheeler Tennis Courts.
