Rothschild Place, a temporary structure on Ithaca College’s campus built in 2004 to house department overflow, has been operating under a temporary occupancy permit since its creation. However, the college applied for and was granted a permanent occupancy permit for the building Aug. 2. Despite this change, there are no plans at this time to renovate or build a permanent structure.
Ithaca College has seen a dramatic increase in the number of students who were reported to be “at risk” over the past five years.
Beginning this semester, all freshmen who sign up for tutoring are required to take at least one introductory workshop before they can be assigned a tutor.

Freeman to speak about FOIA and other sources
Bob Freeman, executive director of the New York State Committee on Open Government, will be speaking about the Freedom of Information Act and other government sources 5–6:30 p.m.
Total donations to the college have outpaced the national average for the year 2013, which saw a 9 percent growth in giving to schools nation-wide.
The Majors and Minors Fair was held 4 p.m. Nov. 6 in Emerson Suites.
