Faculty, staff, alumni and students of Ithaca College gathered Jan. 23 in Emerson Suites to attend the Spring 2024 All-College Gathering. During the session, college leadership acknowledged the recent civil lawsuit against the college, faculty hiring, student enrollment and the budget outlook for the 2023–2024 fiscal year (FY24).
Provost Melanie Stein discussed a retreat in early January attended by members of the Board of Trustees, Faculty Council and Presidents Cabinetin where they talked about major challenges facing the college.

The meeting was a lot of fluff and a lot of promises. There was no plan outlined for any of the concerns members of the college community has expressed.
Approximately 50 people attended the gathering held in the Emerson Suites during the noon hour. The gathering was also livestreamed for campus community members who were unable to attend in person.
