“We are pleased that the judge agreed with the college’s position that the suit should be dismissed due to the plaintiff’s failure to state a claim,” David Maley, senior associate director for media and community relations, stated via email.
The Ithaca College campus has undergone many changes, additions and renovations over the summer, some of which are more visibly obvious than others.
With 16 areas on campus cited by the Office of Civil Rights as not compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act standards, Ithaca College is currently working to resolve these issues.
A former Ithaca College student filed a $10 million lawsuit Oct. 8 against the college under the Americans with Disabilities Act for failing to provide accommodations for a physical handicap.
