Focus Asia Month celebrates Asian identity and diaspora

The Passion Project is dedicated to self-empowerment, embracing youth culture, inspiration and social issues within and beyond Ithaca College.
The new location for the college’s Creative Space Gallery will be the home for many future student-made, student-run art exhibits.

At 7:30 p.m. Nov. 10 and 2 p.m. Nov. 12 in Muller Chapel, seven women at Ithaca College will bring Shange’s words to life.
“Dark Passage” includes two bodies of work created by local artists: “Dissolve” and “The More That is Taken Away.” It will be open until Dec. 11.
The exhibit is a multimedia installation that features work from Billy Coté, Jon Frankeland printmaker and Ink Shop director Craig Mains.
The Handwerker Gallery’s first exhibit of the 2016–17 academic year, “Sun Flare,” which opened Aug. 31 and will remain open until Oct. 12.
Approximately one year after the Creative Space Gallery opened its doors May 1, 2015, it will be closing after its final exhibit, “BANG!,” which ends May 15.
“Extrapolate,” the Creative Space Gallery’s newest exhibit, features artwork from 12 Ithaca College students commenting on their relationship to their environments.
To commemorate their four years at Ithaca College, 24 seniors from the art and cinema, photography, and media arts departments will celebrate and showcase their creativity and dedication to art in “Tell Us Where,” at the Handwerker Galley
