Lawmaker sends letter in support of unionization to Ithaca College

New York State Assemblywoman Barbara Lifton sent a letter April 23 urging President Tom Rochon and the Ithaca College Board of Trustees to respect the right of Ithaca College part-time faculty to organize and vote to form a union.

State Assembly to allocate funds for fracking health study

A comprehensive health study of hydraulic fracturing will be included in the New York State Assembly’s 2012-2013 budget, according to a press release from Assemblywoman Barbara Lifton. The Assembly has allocated $100,000 for the study in relation to high-volume hydraulic fracturing.
