Ithaca College chapter of BOLD receives a $2 million grant

The Ithaca College chapter of the BOLD Women’s Leadership Network received a $2 million grant from the Helen Gurley Brown Foundation. 
Elyse Nepa, Clery Act and crime prevention coordinator in the Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management, is a part of the Sexual Violence and Prevention Committee.

The BOLD Women’s Leadership Network requires that applicants identify as women, but Samantha Elebiary, BOLD Program Director at the college, said nonbinary identifying students are not discouraged from applying. Elebiary said students are not required to disclose their gender identity on the application. 

BOLD program under investigation for Title IX complaint

The U.S. Office for Civil Rights has opened an investigation into Ithaca College’s BOLD program after receiving a complaint of a Title IX violation.
The BOLD Women’s Leadership Network requires that applicants identify as women, but Samantha Elebiary, BOLD Program Director at the college, said nonbinary identifying students are not discouraged from applying. Pussycat Foundation grants BOLD program $1.2 million

The Pussycat Foundation recently granted the Ithaca College BOLD Women’s Leadership Network $1.2 million to continue the program.
Jan Singer 86 spoke at “Workplace 2020: The Elements you need to Ignite NOW,” an event hosted by the Ithaca College Women’s Mentoring Network on Oct. 24. She shared the story of her career and gave advice to approximately 100 female-identifying students, faculty and staff.
