Independent bookstores in downtown Ithaca are selling diverse literature and creating inclusive spaces for community members to explore a variety of perspectives amid the rise of online shopping and an increase in book banning.

What is education without exposure to new and potentially challenging content? This is the question that sticks with me as I learn about the recent book bans and curriculum changes happening across the country. 
Derek Adams, associate professor in the Department of Literatures in English, considers book  bans unethical and talks about its myths. He points out the importance of books of all kinds.
