IC community member tests positive for COVID-19

A member of the Ithaca College campus community has tested positive for COVID-19, according to an announcement from Ithaca College President Shirley M. Collado on March 15. 
So far this flu season, a total of 121,088 lab-confirmed cases were reported in New York state, according to the New York State Department of Health.

New York state experiences decrease in flu cases

After the 2019–20 flu season was reported widespread in 30 states, the New York State Department of Health announced a 17% decrease since December. 
All schools in the Ithaca area have been cancelled until April because of the COVID-19 outbreak.
