As of Fall 2024, self-help and wellness app Sanvello, which was previously utilized by students and employees of Ithaca College, is no longer available. The app has been replaced by Wysa, another cost-free self-help app for the campus community that features an AI chatbot.

In an attempt to provide free, anonymous resources for sexual, mental and physical health, the Center for Health Promotion announced the creation of Walter’s Whaleness Express on March 21. Michelle Goode, program director for the CHP, said as of April 10, there have been 95 orders for kits on campus so far and the majority of students chose to have the kits delivered to the mail lockers.
Through working with faculty, staff and students, Michelle Goode, campus co-chair of the JED Campus Initiative, has implemented new resources and training for mental health awareness.
The majority of students would not know all of these details, because they are mostly reserved from the purview of students unless they specifically seek it out.
