Editorial: Town of Ithaca must make Danby Road safer

Five years and two expensive studies later, Danby Road is still unsafe for pedestrians. The Town of Ithaca must take action before more people are hurt.
The Ithaca Town Board will use the $76,000 grant from the New York State Department of Transportation to study the Danby Road pedestrian corridor.

96B traffic danger spurs petition for sidewalk

Senior Charlotte Roberts is petitioning the City of Ithaca, the Town of Ithaca and the State Department of Transportation to create a sidewalk along New York State Route 96B, an area near the college prone to accidents.
