Environmental sustainability suffers from loss of leadership

Environmental efforts at IC are deteriorating, according to campus members who have experienced a lack of staffing support in sustainability efforts.
Ithaca College announced March 30 that as of February 2018, the college has transitioned to clean energy and will only be purchasing through Green-e certified wind farms.

Greg Lischke, director of the Office of Energy Management and Sustainability, said the college is on track with its plan for carbon neutrality by 2050, but the planet will likely reach a temperature threshold by 2030.
