The Ithaca College Eco-Reps will be rolling out the Green Room Certification program to increase sustainability on an individual level on campus. 
Ithaca College freshman Alexander Maceira and Cornell University sophomore Vernon Lindo presented a proposal that lays out problems they see in lobbying, super PACs and elections nationwide, and presented a set of guidelines for the City of Ithaca to endorse at Ithaca’s Common Council meeting Nov. 15.

The City of Ithaca Common Council unanimously approved a sanctuary city ordinance at its Feb. 1 meeting, which dozens of Ithaca residents attended.
The City of Ithaca is discussing adjustments to the current paid-parking policy to alleviate the city’s $840,000 deficit.

City considers waiting period for lease renewal

The Ithaca Common Council is considering a 60-day waiting period before landlords could look for new tenants or renew leases with current tenants. The 60-day period can be waived if both the landlord and tenant agree in writing to bypass the waiting period.
