In light of a protest held on Oct. 19 to rally community support behind the contingent faculty, the part time–faculty union and the full time contingent–faculty union have gone back to the negotiating table with the administration after an announcement earlier this month that negotiations would cease until they received a counterproposal.

The Ithaca College bargaining team is disappointed that the contingent faculty unions have announced that they have voted to authorize a strike.
Megan Graham, assistant writing professor, along with faculty and student supporters, announced Feb. 14 that the strike vote had passed — giving the unions authorization to take actions up to and including a strike against Ithaca College.
