This will hopefully set a tone of enthusiasm and encourage involvement for the rest of the academic year — and for the rest of the new students’ time at the college.
Incoming students of the Class of 2022 were warmly welcomed to Ithaca College during the annual 2018 Convocation ceremony on Aug. 27.
Collado is promising, to say the least, and has arrived to much excitement and fanfare in the campus community.
The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and excitement in contrast to the typically more reserved ceremony in the past.

Ithaca College formally welcomed the Class of 2018 through the college’s Convocation ceremony on the morning of Aug. 25 in the Glazer Arena of the Athletics and Events Center.
The class of 2017 officially began their time at Ithaca College on Monday with the 2013 Convocation. Faculty, alumni and students gathered in the Glazer Arena to welcome the incoming students.
Ithaca College has seen a 13 percent increase in freshmen applications for Fall 2013, compared to last year. The 15,641 applications mark the the largest applicant pool in the college’s history.
President Tom Rochon addressed more than 1,000 freshmen Monday at the Ithaca College Convocation ceremony in Ben Light Gymnasium.
