Editorial: Makeup commencement proposal too little too late

Ithaca College opted for the safer choice by not hosting a graduation for the Class of 2020, but to do so now would be a difficult endeavor.
A petition was launched March 3 to make Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit (TCAT) free, which would increase accessibility and efficiency but reduce TCAT’s revenue.  The petition is part of a larger campaign by the Ithaca branch of Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) called FreeCAT that advocates for fare-free and expanded TCAT services.

The Ithaca College softball team split a two-game series against the Alfred University Saxons in a doubleheader at Kostrinsky Field on April 12.
The mens club ultimate frisbee team, Nawshus Ultimate, is currently ranked No. 13 in the country according to Ultiworld. The womens team, Kweezy Ultimate, was ranked at No. 22 at one point, but has since dropped off the list.

Cornell University raised its COVID-19 risk level after reporting 151 new cases — the highest number since Cornell dropped its mask mandate March 14.

In a stacked Liberty League conference, the Ithaca College men’s lacrosse team is looking to establish itself as a top team in the league.
Freshman Caitlin Pellegrino performs during the floor exercise event at the Rumble and Tumble meet Feb. 16 at the SUNY Cortland Corey Gymnasium. On the floor event, Pellegrino scored a 9.525, just .025 behind team leader Skye Cohen. The Red Dragons won the floor event, but the Bombers prevailed in the bars, beam and vault.
