After ending the fall 2021 semester during a COVID-19 surge, Ithaca College announced Dec. 23 that booster shots will be required for Spring 2022.
Ithaca College has moved to a Yellow: Low to Moderate Risk COVID-19 operational status following a rise in COVID-19 cases.

Three fully vaccinated Tompkins County residents die of COVID-19

The first fully vaccinated Tompkins County resident has died of COVID-19. Tompkins County reported a total of 252 active cases Sept. 13.
In reaction to four reports of drug-laced drinks and one report of sexual assault at events hosted by Cornell University fraternities, Cornell has suspended all fraternity parties and social events. The Ithaca Police Department and the Cornell University Police Department are currently investigating both reports.  

Cornell University lowers COVID-19 alert level

Cornell University lowered its COVID-19 alert level April 8 from yellow to green, which means cases are rare and transmission is controlled.
In reaction to four reports of drug-laced drinks and one report of sexual assault at events hosted by Cornell University fraternities, Cornell has suspended all fraternity parties and social events. The Ithaca Police Department and the Cornell University Police Department are currently investigating both reports.

Cornell University lowered its COVID-19 alert level Feb. 22 from yellow to green, meaning cases are rare and transmission is controlled.

Cornell lowers COVID-19 alert level

As of Nov. 19, there have been 216 cases at Cornell since Aug. 19. This is the second time Cornell has raised and lowered its alert level.
