IC to use remote learning instruction for remainder of semester

Ithaca College will continue remote instruction for the remainder of the semester and commencement has been moved to Aug. 1 for the Class of 2020, according to a campus wide email sent March 17.

A member of the Ithaca College campus community has tested positive for COVID-19, according to an announcement from Ithaca College President Shirley M. Collado on March 15. 
All schools in the Ithaca area have been cancelled until April because of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Health department confirms first case of COVID-19 in Tompkins County

The New York State Department of Health confirmed a positive case of COVID-19 in Tompkins County, according to a statement from the Tompkins County Health Department on March 14. 
The NCAA released this statement March 12 canceling all remaining NCAA championships for the winter and spring seasons as a precautionary measure during the COVID-19 outbreak.
