The Ithaca College and SUNY Cortland football teams renewed their rivalry in the 65th annual Cortaca Jug game on Nov. 16, with the Bombers falling to the Red Dragons, 28-17.
The Ithaca College football team will participate in the 65th edition of the Cortaca Jug, traveling to bitter rival and defending 2023 national champion Cortland State Nov. 16.
For the first time since 2017, the Cortaca jug game is returning to the South Hill for the 64th edition of the “Biggest Little Game in the Nation” as the Ithaca College football team welcomes SUNY Cortland back to the Ithaca College campus.
When the clock hit zero at the end of the fourth quarter, the Bombers had come out on top for the 38th time in the rivalry’s history with a 34–17 win at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

In a joint press conference between Ithaca College, SUNY Cortland and the New York Yankees, it was announced that the 2022 Cortaca Jug Game would be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 12, 2022 at Yankee Stadium.
