On Feb. 24, Cornell University’s Department of Information Technology released a security alert informing students that Cornell’s ticketing software partner and vendor, AudienceView, experienced a platform breach.

Students’ bank accounts hacked because of ticketing software breach

After attending a concert at Cornell University featuring Beach Bunny on Jan. 28, several Ithaca College students’ credit and debit card information was hacked.
While there have been no immediate threats to security in these programs, David Weil, chief information officer for Information Technology, said the changes were made because of MFA’s ability to deter hacking and to better protect all student, staff and faculty accounts. 

Cyber security expands at IC with Duo authentication

Duo Multi-Factor Authentication will now be required at IC when logging into Zoom and Formstack Forms to prevent accounts from being compromised.
