Tyson, a vocal performance major, is no stranger to performing onstage. He has performed with Ithacappella for three years, singing popular sultry songs by artists, like Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran, as well as older songs from bands like Earth, Wind & Fire. Tyson has also performed with the Ithaca College Choir and the IC Opera Workshop.

Ithaca College's all-female a cappella group Premium Blend took third place at the International Collegiate Championship of A Cappella semifinal, making them eligible to enter a Wild Card round for the chance to compete at the ICCA Finals.

On Feb. 6, Ithaca College's own Premium Blend took first place at the ICCA quarterfinals and was one of two finalists advancing to the semifinal round.
