Every year, Bill Hastings and Sarah Sutton, assistant and associate professors in the department of art, select student art to be displayed in the Provost wing on the third floor of the Peggy Ryan William Center. On Feb. 26, the administration hosted a reception to celebrate this year's featured artists. this is also the first year the installation included photography.

Art associate professor Nydia Blas’ work “The Girls Who Spun Gold” displays a remake of her childhood room at the Handwerker Gallery until Oct. 12. Her exhibit attempted to portray notions of sexuality, racism and gender discrimination through the lives of half a dozen young girls.

‘Sun Flare’ exhibit at IC addresses themes of passion and youth

Seniors to display creative art at Handwerker Gallery

To commemorate their four years at Ithaca College, 24 seniors from the art and cinema, photography, and media arts departments will celebrate and showcase their creativity and dedication to art in “Tell Us Where,” at the Handwerker Galley
Senior Andrea Aguirre poses with an art of the piece that combines watercolor and printmaking, and will hang with the other Bachelor of Fine Arts students’ capstone portfolios in the Handwerker Gallery starting April 28. Aguirre combines her many interests and personality traits through her art.

Ithaca College senior explores concept of control through art
