Panel speaks on lack of accommodations in the classroom

The Disability in Education Panel focused on recognizing and improving areas where the college is lacking in accommodating students with disabilities.
Freshman Grace Madeya and junior Matt Kamen do crossword puzzles at the sensory room viewing party for Cortaca. The event was hosted by DEAR@IC and tactile objects  like crossword puzzles, sudoku, coloring books, stickers, stress balls and weighted blankets were provided to help alleviate stress.

The creation of DEAR@IC is an admirable effort and is one that is sure to help a lot of people on campus.

The club will help provide a place for members to learn about what accommodations are available for those with disabilities, provide resources on disabilities to those who need them and help able-bodied people become allies.
