IC reports successful reopening following low COVID-19 cases

After an increase in COVID-19 cases in December 2021, Ithaca College has cautiously welcomed back its students, faculty and staff for Spring 2022.

Ithaca College needed to reinstate some restrictions on a smaller scale, for everyone’s safety, health and for the ability to attend in-person classes. 
The Tompkins County Health Department (TCHD) announced that the county is now classified as a high-transmission area, which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention define as when there are more than 100 cases per 100,000 people over a seven-day period. In the past seven days there were 132 positive cases in the county.

Each student, staff and faculty member at the college has a responsibility not just to themselves but to the rest of the community to get vaccinated.
The college informed students this clinic will not be available for Fall 2022 because of the many locations in the community offering flu vaccines.
