Members of Faculty Council were able to share their concerns and questions about the changes made to their dental plan that was enacted this year, elected the executive committee and held an executive session for about an hour at its final meeting of the semester. Both the 2021–22 and 2022–23 faculty council members were present for the meeting.

The Faculty Council discussed changes for the 2022–23 academic year, conferred degrees and spoke with President La Jerne Cornish at its May 3 meeting.
Kosher and halal food is made and served out of the kitchen in Terrace Dining Hall. Food from the kitchen is also labeled and put into retail locations and in the fridge in Campus Center Dining Hall.

Muslim students at Ithaca College who practice Islamic law and eat halal now have access to halal-certified food after years of having to make do with whatever campus dining served.
Choudhury focused on the stand-up comedy routines of Muslim American comedians, specifically using Aziz Ansari, Hasan Minhaj and Kumail Nanjiani as case studies. 

Q&A: IC professor receives award for research on religion

Samah Choudhury, assistant professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religion, received the first place “Young Scholars Award" for her research.
Junior Liza Dhameeth is the president and founder of the new club. She has an executive board that consists of five other juniors: vice president Armani Sampat, treasurer Khloe Krizek, social media manager Hannah Frey and secretary Trevor Britton. The club currently has approximately 30 members, Dhameeth said. 

New student organization focuses on human rights violations
