In the summer of 2017, Raul Palma, assistant professor in the Department of Writing, was one of 10 Cuban American writers invited to Havana.
Shehnaz Haqqani, diversity scholar fellow in the Women’s and Gender Studies program, was one of the three diversity scholars presenting research at the Diversity Scholar Research Showcase on March 29. Haqqani discussed her research on how gender patterns influence Islamic views on gender.
