Ithaca College is in the beginning stages of The Middle States Commission on Higher Education reaccreditation process, a procedure to evaluate if the college is reaching certain standards of quality higher education.
Based on President Tom Rochon’s stated priorities for the year-and-a-half remainder of his tenure, one conclusion is for certain: He has finally seen some light.

The Ithaca College leadership has narrowed its areas of focus for the last 17 months of President Tom Rochon’s tenure. The college will focus on enhancing academics, strengthening engagement and growing the financial health of the college, while also continuing work on shared governance and diversity and inclusion.
Making IC more diverse and inclusive does not need to manifest solely within the bubble laid out for us by the broken structures that caused the issues in the first place.
A work group formed in October 2015 between Residential Life and Public Safety is currently focusing on the creation of a community review board to make decisions about concerns regarding Public Safety.
