Freshman Meghan Matheny began working with pole vault assistant coach Matt Scheffler in eighth grade and continued to train with him through high school. She decided to attend Ithaca College largely so that Scheffler would remain her coach.

Freshman pole vaulter has Blue and Gold in her blood

Freshman pole vaulter Meghan Matheny was born and raised 22 minutes from Ithaca College and still competes under her high school vault coach.
The women's Novice 8 boat placed first April 7 against SUNY Geneseo and St. John Fisher College at the Cayuga Lake Inlet. The women's team has a total of 13 novice athletes.
