Graduate student builds communities through volunteer work

Illegal behavior continues at Ithaca gorges despite patrols

The City of Ithaca employed rangers to patrol the dams along Six Mile Creek this summer and enforce swimming and cliff jumping bans. Despite the pilot program, city officials said it has only had marginal success in enforcing rules and that violations are increasing as Ithaca College students return to school.

Office of Civic Engagement receives new office space at IC

The Office of Civic Engagement was given a physical space this year on the third floor of the Campus Center that students can use to meet with outside community partners.

Senior finds her passion in helping other students

“She juggles more activities than three students combined and succeeds in each at the highest level,” Haskins said. “She treats every task as if they are the most important thing. No matter how big or small, she gets it completed. She never complains about her workload and is a positive force to everyone around her.”
