The top-seeded softball team advanced to Sunday’s Empire 8 Conference Championship final with a big 5-1 win against second seed St. John Fisher College this afternoon on Kostrinsky Field.
The run toward an Empire 8 Conference title fell just short for the men’s tennis team with a 5-3 defeat at the hands of top-seeded Stevens Institute of Technology this afternoon in the conference finals on the Wheeler Tennis Courts.
The women's track and field team took first place out of six teams at the Empire 8 Conference Outdoor Championships yesterday in Butterfield Stadium with a score of 317.5 points.
The last three Upper New York State Collegiate Swimming Association and Empire 8 Conference Championships have been a battle between the women's swimming and diving team and Steven’s Institute of Technology. This year was no different.
Though the women’s cross-country team remains the only team to win the Empire 8 Conference Championship after its first-place finish Saturday, it is still looking to earn recognition at the regional and national levels.
