Q&A: Economics professor researches human rights during sabbatical

Elizabeth Kaletski, an associate professor in the Department of Economics at Ithaca College, was on sabbatical for Spring 2023. During her sabbatical, she worked on projects centered on children’s rights for the Human Rights Measurement Initiative, including analyzing data, writing academic papers and securing funding.
Amanda Faherty, assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at Ithaca College, won an award for her current research which focuses on how society and culture impact the relationships between parents and children and the development of the children.

Carole Dennis, a co-founder of Assistance in Motion and professor emerita in the Department of Occupational Therapy, and Sharon Stansfield, the other co-founder and professor in the Department of Computer Science, began research at the college in 2001 to fill the gap they noticed in mobility aids for infants and toddlers with motor impairment.
