Campus community gives feedback for reaccreditation

The Middle States review team visited the college to assess if the college can get reaccredited. Reaccreditation happens every 10 years.
Doreen Hettich-Atkins, coordinator of special services and programs, and Dave Prunty, executive director of auxiliary services and a co-director of the Ithaca College Commencement Committee, held an open forum Nov. 15 for students, staff and faculty to discuss possible changes to the ceremony and for attendants to propose their own ideas on how to change it.

Commencement Committee searches for ceremony feedback

The Ithaca College Commencement Committee is looking for feedback in response to a charge given by President Shirley M. Collado when she took office in July.
Luke Keller, co-chair of the self-study and Dana professor of physics and astronomy, said Middle States representatives will be on campus Feb. 25–28 in 2018 to see if the college meets the criteria mentioned in the final report. The final accreditation decision will be made in June, he said.
