Ithaca’s first Oktoberfest celebration, modeled after the original festival in Munich, Germany, took place Saturday on The Commons.

Porchfest is an annual event held September 16 in the communities of Fall Creek and Northside where music is played publicly on porches, lawns and streets.

Those making a trip to Ithaca’s Inlet this weekend will see a different scene than the usual bustle of restaurants and businesses on the West End.
