Since graduating from Ithaca College, Bill Carraro ’81 has produced hit films such as “The Adjustment Bureau,” “The Golden Compass,” “Stay” and “Frequency.”
In his new release, director Matthijs van Heijningen attempts to transform John Carpenter’s 1982 psychological terror film, “The Thing,” into a modern thriller, but only manages to create a sometimes-amusing, predictable monster flick.
With professional assassins, secret societies and government agents playing all sides of the law, “Killer Elite” has all the ingredients for an outlandish spy action thriller, but its two heroes and their motivations never fully ignite the story.
