The 2024–25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid will be released on an unspecified date in December 2023 with several updates outlined in the FAFSA Simplification Act and implemented by the U.S. Department of Education.

The date to begin filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid has been moved to Oct. 1, three months earlier than the previous Jan. 1 date. The application is now live for students to begin filling out the application, and the Ithaca College Office of Student Financial Services is working on notifying students of the change.

National FAFSA filing date bumped up three months
