Students protest sexual violence against women of color

Students walked out of classes and gathered in support of sexual assault survivors, specifically for two women who accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault.
Ithaca College President Shirley M. Collado and the tri-council group created a working group to review free speech policies at Ithaca College.
The rally was prompted by the looming threats and attempts made by the Trump administration to defund Planned Parenthood, club members said.
The contingent faculty unions entered bargaining sessions with the goals of job security and higher compensation, which they reached.
Freshmen Clare Nowalk said the anger she felt following Trump’s election and the inauguration drove her to organize the rally.
