Freshman enrollment surpasses estimates

Ithaca College has enrolled about 200 more students in the Class of 2017 than it originally projected in May, causing residence halls to exceed their capacities and some departments at the college to accommodate more students than anticipated.

Over-enrollment causes housing problems for first-year students

The Office of Residential Life announced Friday that it will no longer need to house students in the Country Inn & Suites because of a miscalculation in the number of upperclassmen students requesting on-campus housing.

First-year residence halls to expand in the fall

The First-Year Residential Experience is again expanding its housing options. By Fall 2013, only freshman will be able to live in Hilliard and Holmes Halls, in addition to Boothroyd, Rowland, Tallcott and both East and West Towers.
Ron Trunzo, associate director for residential life and judicial affairs, said the changes in housing are not intended to restrict student experiences.
