Following up on Ithaca College’s review of the Integrative Core Curriculum in April, the college has selected a task force to review the ICC.
Ithaca College is taking the first major step toward reaccreditation by putting together the first drafts of a report that analyzes how the college is meeting certain standards.
I like the ICC better than the previous system on three levels: as a teacher, as an academic advisor, and as a curriculum developer.
On paper, it is an innovative program with interesting choices. In practice, it is less: a curriculum that is difficult to provide and that limits student authority over their courses.
