While Cornell University supports over 50 fraternities and sororities on campus, Ithaca College has no affiliated groups, leaving students to form independent groups that pursue the same goals of philanthropy and community building.
“You joined a frat? You know frats and sororities are historically classist, elitist and racist, right? Like inherently so.” Those were my older sister’s first words to me when I told her I joined a music fraternity on campus last spring, Sigma Alpha Iota, Chapter Epsilon.
