Holocaust survivor shares his story for the International Remembrance Day

In honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, students and guests gathered in Emerson Suites and heard from Jewish Holocaust survivor Samuel Rind on Feb. 1.  The Ithaca College Student Leadership Institute and Ithaca College Hillel brought in Rind to share his personal story in relation to the Holocaust. Rind, who visited and spoke to students at the college in 2017, is a regular speaker on college campuses and across the Western New York area. 
Steven Hess, Jewish Holocaust survivor and educator, spoke about his experiences during World War II being transported to Westerbork, a dutch transit camp, and Theresienstadt, a concentration camp. He said he and his family emigrated to the United States as Jewish refugees from World War II in 1947.

Survivor speaks at IC on Holocaust Remembrance Day

Jewish Holocaust survivor Samuel Rind spoke to approximately 50 students, faculty and community member on Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day.
