Transgender and nonbinary individuals from Ithaca College and the surrounding community shared their experiences in an open mic–style event in IC Square on Dec. 3.
When now sophomore Luis Valderrama was figuring out his gender identity in high school, he could only find narratives of white, masculine trans men.
“This space isn’t only for artwork, it’s also to connect with people who are part of the community,” Armour said.
