While the COVID-19 vaccines have helped us to open up more, I think it’s important, especially when talking about burnout, to accept that we’re still in a pandemic.

Some faculty members have been adjusting attendance policies to accommodate COVID-19-related absences, but this issue hasn’t been fully resolved.
Ongoing positive cases of COVID-19 are not only a health concern for Ithaca College students and faculty, but also an academic concern due to how self-isolation is impacting students’ ability to attend and keep up with in-person classes.

Most classes that are currently being offered for Fall 2021 are in-person and operating normally. Students are wearing masks but there is little to no social distancing in place and classrooms are back to full capacity after there were guidelines regarding both in place the previous semester.
